As part of a series of tidal prevention projects with a total investment of nearly VND 10,000 billion in Ho Chi Minh City with the progress of completing 95% of the volume, the project “Tan Thuan Tidal Culvert” (at district 4 and 7) located on the Te canal has been installed with valve doors weighing 230 tons.
It is expected that after completion, it will bring an effective solution in preventing tides from the Saigon River into Te – Doi – Tau Hu canal, helping people at District 7, District 4 and District 8 escape the flooding. This project is considered as a key project of Ho Chi Minh City which is contributing to the completion of the breakthrough program “reducing flooding, responding to climate change, sea level rise”. The project was won by the Party Congress of Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City X, term 2015-2020 agreed to deploy on October 18, 2015.
